An Australian mum has left the internet in stitches after sharing an image of her tree ‘fail’ with thousands.

Tracey, from , posted a photo to the Kmart Inspired Homes Facebook group and said she misplaced the top of the tree while moving houses, but her young son was still eager to decorate the tree.

To describe the situation, Tracey outlined a humorous step-by-step guide regarding how to replicate the unconventional tree.

‘I have had many people ask for a tutorial video how to do your tree like this but I think a PDF step-by-step instructions guide will be sufficient…

however I don’t have time for that so here you go,’ Tracey joked.
