Most people in the world bear at least some resemblance to their parents in the way they look, talk or move, but in some cases, it is more than just a passing likeness.
The California-based website The Chive published a series of remarkable side-by-side photos of a man in 1976 and his son in 2012 which show how eerily similar the pair are.
The first set of images, on the left, shows the father back in 1976 with long, curly hair and beard in one photo, and clean shaven in another.
On the right-hand side, the son is captured posing with a similar hairdo and beard.

The next set of six photos includes one image of the father with a mustache and soul patch, one without the soul patch, and one clean-shaven.
On the right side, the son appears to have recreated his father’s looks from three decades ago.
The final set of six photos again shows the dad with different styles of facial hair, and his son’s adaption of his father’s appearances.
The two men look incredibly alike, from their narrow build to the shape of their eyes, mouth and jawline.
There are, however, minor differences.
The father appears to have thicker, curlier hair than the son, while the younger man has a slightly straighter nose that his dad.
Little is known about the identities of the men in the photos beyond the year when they were taken.
However, from the T-shirt the younger man is sporting in the photos to his poses and even the background in the images, it appears that the son deliberately and methodically recreated his dad’s images.
