It’s relatively easy to grow and maintain even if you have no experience handling succulents. Just know that if you’re outside my region, you may have a pest I’ve yet to see. Root rot can be revived if you catch it in its early stages. Once the rot progresses up the stem, however, it’s very unlikely that your plant will survive. You’ll still have plenty time to treat any thirst problems and prevent permanent damage to your plant. Even after we removed the flowering stem, the succulent produced pups.
Even those succulents I’d covered have patchy areas indicating damaged tissue. Some species, however, can bloom freely without any intervention or care. The layout was fine, but a lot of plant material needed to be removed to reveal (or to salvage) large, mature specimens that deserved prominence. Choosing the best outdoor cactus will depend on a number of things, such as the climate where you live, the soil you have, and where you plan on planting, among other things.
