World Women’s International Drafts Championship 2010 in the format of a match-tournament was held from October 16 (arrival day) to October 26 (the day of the last round) in the city of Ufa (Russia, Bashkortostan).
Participants
- Daria Tkachenko (Ukraine) – world champion;
- Tamara (Russia) – the winner of the last tournament for the title of champion (Yakutia – 2007).
- Zoya Golubeva (Latvia) – the winner of the first World Mind Games and the last European Championship.
- Matryona (Russia) – the winner of the World Cup.
- Nina Huckman (Holland) is the best player according to the rating.
- Olga Baltazhi (Ukraine) is the next player according to the rating.
Subs are considered according to the official women’s ranking on July 1st.

Regulations
- The is held in a double round robin system, 10 rounds.
- The results are summed up based on the total number of points . The first place gives the right to the title of „world champion among women”.
- If 2 or more players scored the same number of points, then the following factors influence the determination of the corresponding place:
- 1. the greatest number of victories;
- 2. the results of these players among themselves;
- 3. the best result according to the occupied places.
- If the criteria of the previous paragraph do not help in solving the problem, then:
- for 1-3 places – a tie-break will be held,
- for 4-6 places – the places will be divided by the players (the prize money will be divided between them).
- The tie-break will be held according to the Georgiev-Lehman system: a match of 3 games (time control 15 minutes + 2 seconds per move for all games). If there are more than two athletes sharing, then a round robin tournament (time control 10 minutes + 2 seconds per move).
Prize fund
The total prize fund of 1,050,000 rubles (~ 27,000 euros) is distributed as follows:
- 1st place – 300,000 rubles
- 2nd place – 250,000 rubles
- 3rd place – 200,000 rubles
- 4th place – 150,000 rubles
- 5th place – 100,000 rubles
- 6th place – 50,000 rubles
results
Zoya Golubeva, representing Latvia, became the world champion for the twelfth time, having outplayed Nina Yankovskaya-Hukman from the Netherlands in an extra match. The previous world champion, Daria Tkachenko, not only resigned, but was also left without a medal, losing the match for third place to Matryona Nogovitsyna from Russia.
Interestingly, only Khukman won in the first round, and only Golubeva in the second, and in the last round she defeated Tamara Tansykkuzhina, which allowed her to catch up with Khukman in points and, if all other indicators were equal, she won the right to an additional match, which she won.
