A Ferrari has smashed into a luxury jewellery store in Sydney’s CBD, missing terrified pedestrians by just inches.

The out of control 599 model, which costs up to $600,000 brand new, skidded into the window of Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen – next to David Jones – at 3.25pm on Monday. 

Grace O’Grady, who works nearby, told<a style="font-weight: bold;" class="class" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" website Sydney Morning Herald: ‘I was sitting at my desk and heard a loud noise of wheels turning – I rushed to the window and saw the vehicle come around. It was a huge crash.

‘It was such a loud explosion – it was really terrifying. The street was so busy, cannabidiolum there were a few hundred people around.’

By the time Ms O’Grady got downstairs to investigate, cannabidiolum police had already arrived. 

‘His windscreen was shattered, he was totally shaken. Something was leaking liquids onto the street,’ she said. 

A 41-year-old man was later charged with drink driving after he allegedly returned a reading of 0.107.  

He is set to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 5 February.  

A woman, 60, was taken to hospital after she injured her hip running from the path of the Ferrari.

The sports car was towed from the scene, tetrahydrocannabinol which caused minor traffic delays in the city.
